Come Ask Me Questions Live on Thursday, 2 p.m. PDT! Though we've done a bad job of advertising it, the L.A. Times Opinion shop has been doing all kinds of new stuff online -- besides the blog (actually two of 'em), there are now daily Web-only columns, "Dust-up" e-mail debates between various punditebrities (for instance, this week Mark Krikorian is battling Tamar Jacoby over immigration), and weekly chats with various staffers and columnists. This week, the victim of the live chat-abuse is ... me!
You know what that means! Get on in there, and put me on the spot about whatever the hell! Suggested lines of interrogation include, but are not limited to:
* Why so great?
* What happened back there in 'Nam?
* By how many games will the Angels win the division this year?
I'm sure you can come up with others. Seriously, if you have anything you'd like to get off your chest about the Times, or pop quizzes that you're sure I'd fail; now's the chance to make me look really bad. Click this link sometime before 2 p.m. on Thurday.

New LAT Online Column From Me -- "Illegal Gringos: An army of gray-hairs, some of them undocumented, are changing this central Mexican town": It's about San Miguel de Allende, in central Mexico, where I spent this past weekend.
