Christ in a Fridge, How Wrong Was I, All Year, About Everything? Thank God my archives are still hosed -- I'd hate to have easily linkable evidence of my disastrous baseball predictions all the hell year long. Diamondbacks, Brewers and Braves, shore nuff! Injuns and maybe Blue Jays and Angels! You know you're in deep when the only halfway reasonable pick is your fanboy perennial for the hometowners. The only thing (I think) I got halfway right was predicting that the Mets and A's would make the playoffs ... though as Wild Cards, not Division Winners.
Then there's the "Tigers in 3" fiasco below, compounded by my prediction over at Rich Lederer's place (too busy/lazy to link ... sorry!) that the MVP of the series would be Brandon freakin' Inge, who played even worse deer-in-the-headlights baseball than I did my first time in Blair Field. The only thing I got right was the order of the AL playoffs -- Tigers over Yanks and then the A's. I shudder to think who my longshot picks were, but thankfully Charlie won't be fixing my archives any time soon....
